For partner clinics
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers for clinics, health systems, and care teams evaluating Moviq Health.
Mobility and Independence
Many national surveys show a consistent theme: adults increasingly prioritize mobility and day-to-day independence as core drivers of quality of life.
Across older populations in particular, remaining active at home and in the community is frequently ranked above longevity as a personal health goal.
These patterns help explain why more clinics are treating functional mobility as a first-class clinical signal—alongside symptoms, diagnoses, and traditional vitals.

About Moviq Health
Moviq Health is a clinical biomechanics testing service that provides objective, standardized mobility measurement for clinics. We quantify movement using repeatable physical performance protocols and reference comparisons to support documentation, longitudinal tracking, and care planning.
Moviq Health was created to close a common gap in care: patients care deeply about movement and independence, yet clinics often have limited objective data beyond observation and questionnaires.
That mismatch can make it harder to establish a clear baseline, communicate progress, and align patients and providers around shared priorities.
Moviq Health provides objective reference points that strengthen clinical conversations, improve continuity across visits, and help patients stay engaged in their mobility goals.

Moviq Health supports specialties where mobility status changes clinical decision-making—commonly primary care, geriatrics, orthopedics, neurology, PM&R, and rehabilitation settings. Partner use cases vary by patient mix and practice goals.
The workflow is designed to feel familiar to clinics that routinely use labs and imaging. Clinics submit a referral through a secure portal, Moviq Health completes the assessment, and the clinic receives a standardized report for interpretation and next-step planning.
What We Measure
Moviq Health measures mobility across three primary domains: Gait, Strength & Power, and Balance & Stability. Together, these domains capture how efficiently a person moves, how much force they can produce, and how well they control their body during standing and transitional tasks.
Each assessment captures 60+ biomechanical metrics across gait, strength/power, and balance. These include measures of speed, symmetry, timing, force production, and stability—providing a detailed snapshot of movement and where limitations may be originating.
Clinicians use the report to establish an objective baseline, identify which domain is most limited, and communicate findings clearly with patients. The standardized format also supports follow-ups by making comparisons over time faster, strengthening documentation, and improving continuity across providers and care settings.
Moviq Health uses three measurement technologies to capture mobility with precision: a multi-camera 3D gait capture system, a dual force plate to quantify force and power during functional tasks, and a multidirectional balance platform to measure postural control across conditions.
Clinical Workflow
Clinics submit referrals through a secure portal. Moviq Health manages scheduling and visit coordination, conducts the assessment, and returns the standardized report to the clinic within 48 hours.
Clinics commonly refer adults who would benefit from a structured mobility baseline or objective follow-up—such as patients with changes in walking, balance concerns, post-surgical recovery, neurologic conditions, or complex mobility limitations where quantification improves decision-making.
Moviq Health provides objective measurement and visual summaries. Partner clinicians interpret the report and determine care decisions, referrals, and education based on their independent clinical judgment.
Many value-based programs emphasize functional outcomes and preventive monitoring. Moviq Health’s standardized mobility measurement can be incorporated into broader longitudinal tracking and outcome reporting workflows, depending on each partner’s program requirements.
Testing Process
The assessment includes standardized mobility protocols across gait, strength/power, and balance. Protocol selection and sequencing are designed for consistency and repeatability and are aligned with established research approaches for human movement measurement.
Yes. Assessments are low exertion and are designed to accommodate individuals with limited mobility. Testing is coached and monitored, with modifications available based on patient tolerance and safety considerations.
Typically 30–45 minutes from arrival to completion.
Frequency varies by clinic and patient goals. Some partners use annual assessments for prevention and baseline monitoring, while others repeat during rehabilitation or recovery cycles. Clinicians determine timing based on clinical context.
Report and Information
Reports include key biomechanical metrics, reference comparisons, domain summaries, and visual highlights that make it easy to communicate baseline status and change over time.
Reports are typically returned within 48 hours of testing. Measurements are captured in real time and are uploaded after review by a Doctor of Physical Therapy to ensure clarity and quality.
Moviq Health provides PDFs and structured data exports. Custom EMR integrations may be explored with partner clinics based on scope and workflow requirements.
Moviq Health follows HIPAA-aligned practices including encryption, secure storage, audit logging, and role-based access controls.
Partnership and Operations
Clinics partner through a service agreement that includes assessment access, standardized reporting, workflow support, and partner resources. No equipment purchases are required.
Moviq Health provides workflow setup assistance, team training, patient communication templates, and dedicated partner support.
Clinics submit referrals and Moviq Health manages outreach, scheduling, reminders, and visit coordination—reducing administrative burden on clinic staff.
Moviq Health currently operates in Las Vegas, Nevada, with expansion driven by partner interest.
Practice Value and ROI
Moviq Health enables clinics to offer a structured mobility assessment service without equipment purchases or additional staffing. Practices may use this capability to differentiate care, strengthen preventive programs, and improve patient engagement around function.
Many clinics find that patients value having objective mobility data to reference over time. This can support follow-up planning at intervals defined by the clinician and reinforce adherence to mobility-focused care plans.
Mobility is closely associated with independence and long-term function, so many clinics use objective mobility measurement to support preventive and functional outcome initiatives. Moviq Health provides measurement and reporting and does not define diagnoses, risk pathways, or clinical decisions.
Because Moviq Health requires no capital investment and minimal workflow disruption, practices often see utilization early once referral and scheduling workflows are established.
Some partner clinics report positive financial returns in the 160% to 250% range. Actual results vary by practice, referral volume, and how the service is positioned and operationalized.
